The Snuggle command
The Knight must follow his Princess to the bedroom for some couple time (which might be just cuddles).
This command is a convenient short-hand for a Princess to `request´ that her Knight go to bed for some couple time together. In bed the couple might enjoy just a cuddle, a Devotional Cuddle, a Blissette, or a full session of sexual activity.
Unless otherwise instructed by his Princess, the Knight should get into bed naked (the Princess might sometimes prefer him to only Undress).
The word used for this command reminds both Devotees that going to bed for some couple time together might not include any sexual activity.
Just because it is the possibility of sexual activity that makes the Knight keen to go to bed, and even though he may become aroused during just a cuddle, the Knight will usually still enjoy cuddles without sexual activity. For the Knight (as well as the Princess) these cuddles increase intimacy and the connection between the couple. The increased cuddle time of Devotional Sex is enabled by the Knight's erotic energy, but the depth added to the relationship from these cuddles is based on much more than sex.
The Snuggle command can be used by the Princess to say it is time for the bedtime cuddle ritual for couples that practice this ritual.
A Princess can ask her Knight "Would you like a Snuggle?" if she wants to suggest some couple time in bed without implying that there will, or will not be, any sexual activity.
If a Knight would like some couple time in bed he can ask his Princess "Can we have a Snuggle?" Even though they both know that the Knight would like some sexual activity, his request for a Snuggle indicates his acceptance that what happens in bed, if anything, is up to his Princess. His requesting a Snuggle also makes clear that he would like some time in bed together even if it is just a cuddle.
Note that using the word Snuggle can make a big difference to the feel of the dynamic.
A Princess who asks her Knight if he would like to go to bed for "just a cuddle" might feel that her Knight is only after sex if he says he prefers to come to bed later. If a Princess wants `just a cuddle´ she is allowed to tempt her Knight with the offer of a Snuggle.
A Knight who asks to go to bed for sex might cause his Princess to think he only wants her for sex. Requesting couple time in bed by asking for a Snuggle shows that he appreciates her for the cuddles as well.
