The Reveal command
The Knight removes all his clothing to fully reveal himself.
This command can be used by a Princess whenever she would like her Knight to be naked. As the Knight will usually be naked when in bed, the command is most useful when outside the bedroom.
The power and fun of the Reveal command are enhanced because the Knight will never know how long he will have to remain naked.
A Princess might only want him to be Revealed during an activity, for example while giving her a foot massage. In this case, once the foot massage is over, the Knight will put his clothes back on.
She might want to enjoy a Submissive Cuddle, which is when a fully dressed Princess cuddles her naked Knight. To enjoy this pleasure, which feels very different from when both are dressed, or both are undressed, she only need say "Reveal then come and cuddle me".
She might like him Revealed for some erotic play in the living room. Saying "Reveal" at the start of a session quickly gets her Knight naked. The Princess can then decide how much of her clothing she takes off, and how long it takes before she does this.
The feelings of a Knight while Revealed in the living room may be very different depending on the level of the Knight's submission.
Reveal is an excellent way of making a submissive Knight feel submissive
A submissive Knight might very much enjoy being `forced´ to spend time naked with his Princess.
Though he enjoys how Reveal pushes his submissive buttons, a submissive Knight might still find it challenging to have to obey this order. In fact, because the submissive Knight is so aware of the submissive aspect of obeying the command, he might find it more challenging than would a non-submissive Knight.
Devotional Sex can be more fun and powerful for both Devotees when a Knight who enjoys submission is feeling that he is under his Princess's power. Using the Reveal command is an easy way for a Princess to make her Knight feel under her power without her having to do anything except say one word.
Hence the Reveal command can be used often when the Knight enjoys feeling submissive.
Caution is needed when using Reveal with a non-submissive Knight
Using Reveal with a non-submissive Knight is very different because the Knight will not enjoy the submissive feelings from having to obey this command.
At the worst, using this command with him might be more than he is willing to do, or be a moment which makes him feel that he does not want to remain a Knight. To keep Devotional Sex working well, a Princess needs to be very aware of the feelings of her Knight. If using Reveal is sailing too close to the edge, then it is best not used.
If using Reveal with a non-submissive Knight is not too close to the edge, it should still be used cautiously. Sometimes it can be used as an exercise in Princess Power. More often it would be used to start some activities. The non-submissive Knight might not enjoy obeying the Reveal command, but he might very much enjoy the activities. So, on balance, he will still be happy to be a Knight.
Most of the ideas in this section assume that the Knight either enjoys feeling under his Princess's power, or he does not mind too much obeying the Reveal command. When this is not the case, Reveal should only be used with caution, or not used at all.
Affirmation - time spent with a naked Knight and fully dressed Princess
A powerful Devotional activity is when a Princess has her Knight Revealed, but remains fully dressed herself. The Knight's nudity is emphasized by his Princess's non-nudity.
Time spent this way within Devotional Sex is called Affirmation, and the Reveal command is at its most powerful when it is used to start a period of Affirmation.
Affirmation is an easy and effective way of creating and maintaining a Devotional dynamic. The time spent in Affirmation may be short, or it may be for a whole evening. During Affirmation the feelings and emotions of each Devotee can range over a wide spectrum, all of which make Devotional Sex feel different from ordinary life.
Affirmation can be fun for a Princess because a naked Knight provides a visual indication of the rise and fall of his erotic energy. And knowing that his Princess can see every change in the state of his Desire's arousal keeps her Knight feeling vulnerable and under her control.
Because Affirmation is a very easy way to create and build a Devotional dynamic, I recommend that a Princess just starting with Devotional Sex uses Reveal often, and very early on in a session.
And because Affirmation easily creates so many appropriate Devotional feelings, I recommend that Reveal continues to be used by couples living as Devotees.

A command which must be obeyed
As a Princess will sometimes use the Reveal command to deliberately make her Knight feel vulnerable and under her power, there may be times when the Knight will not want to obey this command. Such times become a test of her Princess Power, and so it would be inappropriate for her Knight to try to negotiate.
If the timing and place of this command are within the Knight's limits, he should always just obey the command.
If he wants to remain a Knight, this is a time when he must prove his dedication.
Setting a rule for a Knight to be Revealed
If it is her whim, or if she thinks it would be good for her Knight to feel under her power, a Princess can set a rule so that her Knight must always be Revealed when the rule says (eg whenever he gives a foot massage, after 10 pm every Saturday night, or all evening every Friday).
When and where Reveal is used
When and where the Reveal command can be used depends on the Knight's limits. These limits should be clearly predefined by a Knight so that his Princess is never in doubt.
If a Princess thinks she might want to use Reveal in a particular situation, or she wonders how far her Knight would go, she can discuss with her Knight whether or not this would be within his limits. Even if she never uses Reveal in this situation, the Knight will be thinking that one day she might!
It should be within all Knights limits to be committed to obeying Reveal whenever they are alone at home together.
Other times and places which a Knight might say are within his limits are:
- in
the backyard (if it is private)
- on
a nude beach, or any other place where nudity is allowed
- out
in nature (when it is very unlikely that there will be any other people
nearby)
- in
some pre-agreed `riskier´ situations (such as in a car at night)
- in any `riskier´ situation that his Princess chooses
- As the Princess
will be judging
the `risk´ of any situation, and has responsibility for not
offending others who have a right not to be offended, a Knight can
pre-agree to leave all the judgment of risk to his Princess
- In front of other people (see Chapter 12: Other People)
Why the word Reveal was chosen
The word reveal was chosen as it is a soft word which when spoken does not sound like a forceful order.
I wanted a Princess to be able to give this command in a quiet manner, leaving the power of the command to come from the required action rather than the way she says it.
I had earlier used the word Strip as the name of this command, but this sounded far too harsh.
