Learning to Crest   |   Chapter 3: Devotional Tao

His Desire has a `mind of its own´

A key to learning Devotional Sex is for both the Princess and her Knight to recognize that his Desire is not fully under his control, but has a `mind of its own´. It thus needs careful and consistent training.

To help train his Desire a Knight should never Climax when out of control, never Climax in some positions, and both he and his Princess need to be aware that unintended lessons will have an effect.

A well trained Desire is one that does not Climax unless the Knight wants a Climax. (Of course a Knight will only deliberately Climax when his Princess says he can.)

Furthermore, a well trained Desire does not feel that it is about to Climax (except just before the Knight deliberately Climaxes).

Not feeling he is just about to Climax means that a Knight can fully enjoy the sensations of the sexual activity, and he does not need to slow down or pause the activity in order to prevent himself from loosing control.

It is very easy for a woman to make an aroused man Climax no matter how hard he thinks about trying not to.

So when a Knight says "slow down for a while or I might cum", this is not because he is planning to disobey his Princess and ejaculate without permission. It is because he knows that no matter how hard he tries, if the stimulation continues he will loose control.

A Princess needs to understand that her Knight does not have full control over his Desire.

And a Knight needs to learn how to train his Desire so that he can keep it under control.

A useful analogy is to think of his Desire as not a part of him, but as if it were his dog.

Even a very well-trained dog will sometimes do something his owner does not want. But most of the time a very well-trained dog will be well behaved and predictable.

An untrained dog will often misbehave. And the owner acting strictly towards the dog every once-in-a-while is unlikely to have much effect on its behavior.

Another person telling the owner of an untrained dog to make their dog behave will also never work. This is not because the owner is ignoring or disobeying the other person. It is because they have no real control over their untrained dog.

Having a well trained dog has many rewards. But properly training the dog takes time and effort, and it requires long-term consistency.

The Knight having a well trained Desire also has great rewards. But just like a very well behaved dog, this does not just happen. It also requires training and long-term consistency.

Things that can help to train his Desire include:

Never Climax when out of control

When a Knight is close to loosing control his Princess should always help him to regain control.

If his almost loosing control excites her enough to want him to Climax, then this can happen, but only after he has at least briefly regained control. (More)

Never Climax in some positions

If a Knight is never allowed to Climax in some positions, then over time it becomes much easier for him to keep control in these positions. This can have great advantages for both. (More)

Unintended lessons will have an effect

Teasing a well trained dog until it does something naughty might be fun, but it is very likely to lead to unwanted bad behavior in the future.

Making an exception to his Desire training may also be fun. But it is also likely to have unwanted consequence later on. (More)
