Talking dirty
Talking
dirty is using dirty words to talk about sex. When there is an
underlying belief that sex is dirty, expressing this in taboo words can
feel liberating and arousing. The underlying belief that sex is dirty
is so common in some cultures, including the USA, that much advice on
good sex includes good communication and expressing your feelings under
the topic of talking dirty.
Wikipedia defines
dirty talk as "the practice of using graphic word imagery to heighten
sexual pleasure before and during the sex act. It is commonly a part of
foreplay." (Click here for the full, albeit rather short, Wikipedia article.)
At http://datingshoes.com/how-to-talk-dirty-to-my-boyfriend/
a women asks for advice about talking dirty: "Is this normal?", and
"what to say". The answer is only about communicating "what feels good
for you", "guide him to do it just the way you like", and "compliment
his penis".
Such communication is, as said in the answer, very
beneficial to a good sex life. But what has it got to do with talking
dirty? The author must think that all sex is dirty, so just saying
"mmm, that feels good" is, to him, talking dirty!
The above site has a click-through advertisement to The Ultimate Guide To Talking Dirty: Learn How to Talk Dirty at http://www.dirtytalkingguide.com/ (Note that I have no connection to this site, and I get no financial gain if you click this link).
This
site starts of saying "Dirty Talk is quite possibly the healthiest
thing you can do for any relationship. Studies have shown that Talking
Dirty helps to improve love making, increases intimacy, drives desire
and can make you an all around more confident person."
As well
as including just normal good communication, this site says "Whatever
the reason may be it seem that from the time we're children we are
taught that dirty words are bad. Saying naughty and dirty things is not
something good girls and boys do...or do" so at least here talking
dirty does include dirty words! And a reason to talk dirty is "Men love
dirty talk because it adds spice and intimacy into their romance."
Advice on how to talk dirty is also given at http://sexuality.about.com/od/talkingwithpartners/ht/dirtytalk.htm.
This advice makes clear that dirty talk includes "low rhythmic grunts,
high pitched squeals" and other sounds. It also advices "avoid clinical
terms (like penis)" and even includes porn as a suggested way of
increasing your vocabulary in this area.
