Intercourse
With
Vanilla thinking about sex, sex usually means intercourse. Everything
else is `just foreplay´. The amount of foreplay often declines as
a sexual relationship becomes more established, leaving intercourse as
the main sexual activity.
With Vanilla Sex, intercourse is at its
most basic, and consists of fairly rapid, forceful, thrusting. It is
not uncommon for the man to ejaculate after only a few minutes.
Conventional Sex is often much better than Vanilla Sex because even in conventional sex a couple may be using a taste of some of the advanced sexual techniques.
Your sex life may already be much better than what is described in this
section, but unfortunately the very basic sex described here is
probably how most people experience sex.
How long does intercourse last?
http://www.medicine.ox.ac.uk/bandolier/band137/b137-4.html
reports a study of 491 men in five countries who every time they had
sex over a four week period timed how long it took from the penis
entering the vagina to ejaculation. The men's ages ranged from 19 to 73.
Over the four week period the 491 men had intercourse 4000 times - an average of twice a week per couple.
Intercourse lasted from only 30 seconds up to 44 minutes. Thus whilst most of the men were normal, the results show that some were suffering premature ejaculation and that a few must have been practicing Tantric intercourse.
A bigger and clearer version of the graph showing the distribution of how long men last is at:
http://www.indianjurol.com/viewimage.asp?img=IndianJUrol_2007_23_2_97_32056_1.jpg
The median was 5.4 minutes. (The
median is the middle of all the values which is different from the
average. For example, if you take the values (2, 3, 3, 5, 100) the
average is 22.6 and median is 3.)
So half of men last for less than 5.4 minutes, and half of men last for longer.
Intercourse
ranges from the hard, rapid pumping (which is what is always shown in
X-rated content), to slower more sensual dances of shared pleasure, to
the almost non-movement of full Tantric Sex. The slower and gentler the
intercourse the easier and more pleasant (especially for the woman) it
is to have intercourse last longer.
It would be interesting to
know how many of the longer sessions in the study were gentle sensual
bliss and how many were very long poundings.
Premature Ejaculation
From
a medical perspective premature ejaculation is not just ejaculating a
bit earlier than you might like, but only being able to last a very
short time. For example, one paper suggests that those lasting less
than 1 minute have a definite medical condition, and those lasting
between 60 and 90 seconds a probable medical condition.
The
study linked in the previous section shows that about 1 in 200 men last
for 54 seconds or less, whilst 1 in 40 men last for 78 seconds or less.
